SITREP — situation report. Everywhere else on this site is written looking back. This page is not: Israel is a campaign that has not finished, and these are accounts of it while it is still going on.

Current subject. Same rules.

That this campaign is still running changes what you may write about. It changes nothing about what you may write down.

No unit that is still deployed, and no formation still in the field.
No locations still in use, no routes in or out, nothing that reads as a position.
No names of serving personnel. Not first names either — a first name plus a unit plus a month is an identification, and on a live campaign it is an identification that can be acted on.
Nothing you would not say knowing it will be read by people who are not on your side. Assume it will be.
Your photographs have their location data stripped automatically. What is in the frame is still yours to check, and on this page it matters more than anywhere else on the site.

Write the war, not the target list. What it costs, what it is like, what you carried home — all of that is welcome, and almost none of it needs a grid reference.

File it under your service as well — Army, First Responders, or whichever fits. A SITREP is a conflict tag, not a separate box, so the same post sits here and on those pages at once.
